Stairway and Opus Irae at EoR

We are pleased to announce two more bands: Stairway (Heavy Metal, GB) and Opus Irae (Black / Dark Metal, D). The Englishmen of Stairway are rocking the stages since more than 20 years and made a mark worldwide with their classic metal in the tradition of NWoBHM. With their first record they reached even the Japanese charts. So it's about time to invite them to the EoR.
With Opus Irae we present a young aspiring black metal band from Germany. Although the band is new to the scene, the musicians are already known from other bands and were standing with them on big stages like the EoR or Wacken.

News about the day program

As usual the UNBLACK association organizes a festival day program in which also
performing artists are engaged: per example Pilgrim of Crimson Moonlight does a
seminar, Barren Cross’ Jim LaVerde leads the worship band und Frank Breuninger of Dark Sky contributes to one of the services. Sad that Pastor Bob Beeman isn’t able to attend this year’s EoR due to medical issues.  You find the detailed program here > Information - Day Program 2012.

Barren Cross Headliner of EoR 2012

In 2005 they thrilled the audience with a brilliant show, now they are back at the EoR: Barren Cross. And that with the original line-up after vocalist is back in the band. They will playing all their well known classics and perhaps even some new songs.
Unfortunately due to health reasons it's not possible for Grave Declaration to play EoR this year. We hope to announce soon a replacement for them.

Innovation @ next EoR: LIVE-PAINTING with Timon Kokott

Timon Kokott, Shouter of the German Thrash-Metallians ‚Fallen Walls’, is also a talented and upcoming „Metal-Painter“. Inspired by the atmosphere and the acting on stage he will grab his paint brushes during both concert evenings. We are looking forward to the results!
