Detritus ist eine Thrash- und Progressive-Metal-Band aus Bristol, gegründet Ende der 1980er. Ihr Sound vereint harte Riffs, komplexe Strukturen und melodische Passagen. Nach den Alben Perpetual Defiance (1990) und If But for One (1993) löste sich die Band auf, blieb aber ein Kulttipp im britischen Underground. 2019 kam es zur Wiedervereinigung, gefolgt vom Album Myths (2021), das klassische und moderne Metal-Elemente verbindet. Detritus steht für kraftvolle Dynamik, Vielschichtigkeit und eine markante musikalische Handschrift.
Detritus is a thrash and progressive metal band from Bristol, formed in the late 1980s. Their sound combines heavy riffs, complex structures and melodic passages. After the albums Perpetual Defiance (1990) and If But for One (1993), the band split up but remained a cult favourite in the British underground scene. They reunited in 2019, followed by the album Myths (2021), which combines classic and modern metal elements. Detritus stands for powerful dynamics, complexity and a distinctive musical signature.
